The Corporate Trustee
As an NHS charity, University Hospitals of Liverpool Charity has a corporate trustee, i.e. the NHS foundation trust’s board. Board members of the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT) are the ‘trustees’ and the corporate trustee delegates authority to the Charitable Funds Committee to oversee the charity’s strategy development and deployment, its performance and seeks assurance across a number of key performance indicators linked to its strategic objectives.
The charitable funds committee meets four times per year and delegates authority for grant making to the Small Grants Group (funding applications up to £10K) and the Grant Making Panel (applications £10K-£50K).
